Raoul Middleman was born in Baltimore, Maryland in 1935. He received his BA in Philosophy from Johns Hopkins University, and attended the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts and the Brooklyn Museum Art School.
His work is in the collections of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York; the Baltimore Museum of Art; the National Academy Museum, New York; and the New York Public Library, among others. Middleman lives and works in Baltimore, Maryland.
