Arthur Crouch (American, b. 1898) Gouache, yarn hair, painted and cut and applied paper, canvas and plaid fabrics, tied feather fly fishing hooks in hat band. "1940" on hat band. Overall blue painted background. Signed in block stencil letters LR. Crouch was a popular magazine artist of 1930s-1950s, most notably Collier's Magazine. Often used yarn to illustrate ladies hair. Gold finish wood frame.
