About this Lot
Description
Excellent example of the ware with a carved surface displaying four character panels above a lappet border at the foot. The lid is also carved in a lotus pattern with a curling edge and bulb finial. Straddling the body and lobed neck are for free-molded lizard forms forming handles. The clear olive green glaze exhibits attractive pooling and drips with an enviable crackle and variable sized glaze bubble overall. Dimensions: 16.5" high
