A true First Edition from Grosset & Dunlap, number 11 in the Hardy Boy series. With the following issue points: Eleven titles listed on inside front flap, 9 X-Bar-X Boys on back of jacket, 15 Ted Scott Flying Stories on rear inside flap of jacket. Ads in rear of book in order are as follows; TIA, The Hardy Boys 11, Ted Scott Flying Stories 15, Buddy Books For Boys 23, Nancy Drew 7, Western Stories 10, Tom Swift 35. All other issue points are present including 34 Tom Swift and 10 Hardy Boys in green ink on verso of jacket.
According to Hardy & Hardy Investigations 3rd Edition (Carpentieri & Mular) this is the 1932 A-1 edition, red cloth boards. This book is considered one of the rarest and most difficult to find First editions in the series. Shield on spine has faded, although under light a trace can be seen.
Condition: light edgewear to extremities, otherwise the book and dust-jacket are in very good or better condition, a nice bright clean copy. Contemporary inscription on front blank, "Easter Greetings to Bob 1932.”
