In the style seen in the Western Han dynasty (206 BCE - 9 CE). Very well formed and painted overall in the style of the period with red, black and white pigment/slip. Molded masks of detailed relief applied on the top of the body at the shoulder. Ring handles are missing. The intact lid has three protruding spear point elements in white slip.
