These two owl forms in simply molded grey clay are both painted in swirling red, white, blue, and yellow pigments. Both have holes through the body opening on top, likely used as stands for wood or bronze items. Han Dynasty (206 BCE - 220 CE). Purchased at Anthony J. Allen's Antiques, NZ, 2002.
