A Chinese Imari porcelain plate decorated in the Japanese style. Lobed walls and rim with under glazed cobalt and overglazed red and gilt with famille verte scholar's objects. The wells have a very finely painted seated official. This style of depiction was popular from the late 17th to early 18th and seen again in the late 19th century. There is a slight orange-peel surface to the surface.
