Japanese polished bronze round hand mirrors with Herons in landscape scenes in relief and handles wrapped with wicker trim. This represents the paradise of the "Isle of the Immortals" popular since the Edo period of the Edo period. This incorporates the twin branched Takasago pine tree with a pair of flying cranes and a Minogame turtle in the left hand corner. The larger one has the large Japanese characters representing longevity and good luck across the surface.
